ON CAMPUS VACCINE REGISTRATION
Register for an appointment through CNS, our campus vaccine partner. You will be able to select the on-campus Commander’s House location and an available time on the following days:
- Tuesday, May 4th from 12pm-6pm
- Wednesday, May 5th from 9am-3pm
While this vaccine clinic is being opened to support faculty, staff and students, we are also offering vaccinations to members of the general community. You do not have to have a UNid in order to set up a vaccination appointment. That means if you have a spouse, a child (18 or older), a parent, a neighbor, or anyone else who wants a vaccine in your life you should encourage them to make an appointment. The point is to get vaccinations to everyone who wants one.
If you can’t get an appointment in the next week don’t worry. If there is sufficient demand we will be adding more days. We want to put shots in arms and move the community towards herd immunity. Every vaccination is a step towards that goal.

You will be reminded to bring the following items when you make your appointment as well:
- A facial covering
- A printed or electronic copy of your e-mailed appointment confirmation
- A photo ID
- Your insurance card (if you have insurance)
No. You will not be charged for the vaccine or its administration. Your insurance will be billed if you have insurance. If you do not have insurance, you will not be charged.
The check-in and vaccine administration steps will only take a few minutes. Because this is a first in a lifetime vaccine, a common area will be provided where you will be asked to remain for 15-30 minutes following the administration of the vaccine for observation (depending on whether you have experienced previous allergic reactions).
The Moderna vaccine, which requires two doses 28 days apart. You will be scheduled for your second dose when you come to the vaccine site to receive your first dose.
Studies have shown that all of the COVID-19 vaccines approved in the United States are both safe and effective at preventing death, severe illness, symptomatic illness, and infection. All vaccines carry some level of risk, which is why the FDA and the CDC require data from vaccine trials and ask that side effects be reported through the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. Anyone who is 18 or older, who is not currently exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, or who has not tested positive within the past 14 days.
We encourage making an appointment in advance. However, if you are not able, it is likely that the vaccination team can accommodate you if you walk up during the designated hours.
The State of Utah has strongly encouraged individuals to receive both doses at the same location. Please plan accordingly. If you have received your first dose and can no longer receive the second at that location, contact the county health department where you currently reside.
